Even the harshest critics of government of India won’t disagree with the fact that one of its ambitious programmes, “Start-Up India”, started off with a bang and going gung-ho. Not only aspiring young entrepreneurs, even retired professionals enthusiastically plunged into the Start-Up bandwagon. Most of them explored hitherto unheard of avenues in the vast information technology space. Apart from business and professional applications, information technology is fast infiltrating into social and personal lives also, as an essential tool encompassing all walks.

Undoubtedly, the Centre’s demonetization drive had its own negative impacts, temporary though, on the public, especially those in the lowest strata. However, this step has given a fillip to the digitalization process, thereby strengthening the grip of information technology over the masses. The Centre’s another pet project, “Digital India”, will carry this drive forward.

In India today, there is no dearth of opportunities for skilled people. Also, scope for setting up business galore for qualified professionals with entrepreneur skills. What is needed is a drastic change in mindset, attitude and approach. Instead of wasting time waiting for opportunities to come to your doorstep, make use of the opportunities available by acquiring requisite skill and technology. Use your imagination to pursue unexplored avenues of businesses under the Start-Up drive.

Producing skilled manpower by imparting requisite knowledge and training itself is an ocean of opportunities.
